Thick toast
Recently I eat thick toast at the Toast Box. The stall selling at the 313 Somerset, SG has more variety/flavor like Milo thick toast, Floss thick toast, etc. And when I visited Toast Box at Junction8 Food Junction, they only sell Peanut butter thick toast. Although I am not a fan of peanut butter, I gave it a try and wish that it would be good. It still not good for me, cause the peanut butter was spread all over the bread. But I do like the Milo thick toast.
This is the Milo thick toast that i've ate it during the weekend when I was waiting for my kid to finish playing in the playground next to the stall.
So I decided to make it myself a version of Milo thick toast and it is really easy. i figured it using the ingridient that i have. Most of the recipe I search online is using condensed milk. But I don't think it is necessary, you can also use nutella or any other chocolate spread brand. I've my homemade cream chocolate sauce that I made before. Also bought some thick toast that already cutted into 1 cm thick. i bought my bread at Bread Talk, they do sell variety of the bread.
This time I made a version of Ovaltine thick toast.
First, toast the bread with some butter in top. I am using my oven and just toast it for 10 min in 150 C Degree or you can roughly see when the bread start to a little bit brown. When finished, i spread the bread with my homemade chocolate sauce and add the ovaltine powder on top. And it's done. If you use condensed milk you can pour a little bit of the milk on top.
Here is my version of Ovaltine thick toast
it was easy and delicious. You can save your $2 spend at Toast Box
